Full Frame vs. Micro Four Thirds/
Paul Kaye (@pdk42) has been busy on the forum over the last few days - more from him in a moment. For starters, here is his question; can you tell which of two landscape photos he posted was taken on an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III and which was taken on a Full Frame Panasonic Lumix S5? See if you can tell, here.
Could using image stabilisation actually reduce image quality?
The answer is - it just might. Paul Kaye, again, has been some disturbing corner image quality compromises and the finger is pointing at in-camera sensor-shift image stabilisation. The topic has stirred up a debate on the forum.
OM-1 v.1.3 firmware update drops
We're very grateful from one of our forum members based in Japan, @TakaPyon, who brought us early news of the release of the latest firmware update for OM-1 users. It seems to have solved AF issues for quite few people. More, here.
Why do E-Group members like the site so much?
I'm not exaggerating by saying that there is a great deal of contentment and, even, affection, for the E-Group site. I always say that the site is only as good as the people who use it! It's also no secret that we desperately need new members. To make it crystal clear to visitors, who aren't yet members, why they should consider joining, we asked you, the members, to tell us what attracted them to the E-Group. Why not add your own comments?
