So you didn't get a thong (flip flop or whatever you want to call that footwear) thrown at you when they noticed you then?

Here in the UK a thong is a very small pair of ladies knickers, so that would have been interesting!

Mostly people were happy to be in pictures, but nothing is a universal truth!

Yes, that term is well known here too, but thongs for footwear have been known here for a long time though (ever since I was young).
I guess one resembles the other, but for different parts of the body.

I don't think we have that term for footwear here, but Uggs are big in the UK.
