    Looks like a lot of money was spent on that building when it was built. The irony is that we will probably miss this level of grandeur in our banks before Cuba will - almost all the old banks near me have closed, and those that remain have been modernised removing any nice original features.

    A lovely photo of some nice architecture - thanks for posting!

      Have to agree re banks changing, a lot now resemble cheap buildings these days, a lot of heritage is being lost.
      Like the photo shows the detail that sadly is being lost nowadays as its more about contemporary building and maximising profits rather than traditional mason work.
      All the gear no idea

        Perhaps there is a photo project in this - capturing the grandeur of our traditional bank buildings before they all turn into modern boxes or disappear on line.
