There is a train service in Cuba, but it is reportedly somewhat intermittent and unreliable due to shortages of fuel and mechanical failures, not to mention slow due to the state of the track. I only saw one train (other than old steam locos) while I was there, it was waiting at a signal on the outskirts of Havana, which may have indicated a second train could have been in the vicinity!
Hot and bright, the DR on the EM1 coped well.

Beautiful architecture.

Expecting trouble?

Infrequent trains.

Hot and bored passengers.

Unnecessary lane control.

Wooden sky bridge.

Interesting iron work.

Single carriage, no passengers.

Round the back.
