Re: Cuba 157 - A place Called Home
The more you show me of Cuba the more I like it ... and the people you've portrayed, in spite of their lifestyle, appear more laid back than their frenetic neighbours across the Florida Straits. Edit > I see poetry and great beauty in their colourfully impossible dereliction!

In total agreement with Pandora's thoughts.
The saying, "I came into this life with nothing and I still have most of it left' springs to mind.
This whole series has been a picture from life's other side and a couch potato's dream holiday. Thanks for sharing.
It's not what inspires us that is important, it's where the journey takes us.

They certainly know how to live, Salsa, Jazz, Tobacco, Rum, and the inevitable next generation!Originally posted by KeithL View PostGreat for us photographers, but do they live there, or just reside there? Or are those the Cubans' idea of luxury hotels, maybe?

More really great shots. The buildings are very interesting. It looks like the zips of the rucksack aren't locked so the contents could still be pinched!
