  • Cuba 79 - Country portaits

A couple of shots of the Vinales country locals, mostly bribed with cash or gifts!

Typical Brits walking about in the midday sun, we stumbled across a plough and harrows in a field, abandoned as the heat of the day was too much for the oxen to work.
After a couple of snaps farmer Giles mosied up for a photo too, for a small tip, but well worth the 65p equivalent!

Watering the Oxen and chewing tobacco.

The Casa owner's daughter bribed with a skipping rope.

Lads bribed with Hot Wheels cars.

Fancy that - they have farmers called Giles in Cuba, too!

More great pictures, but try handing out toys to children in England and then photographing them!

Cubans seem to live in simpler times, in so many ways.

Apart from the poverty that's not a bad thing.

i really like the second and last photos

I really think there are many benefits of their similar life but it would be damn hard to go back to that similar life...... manual film cameras.....one or two lenses ...... no battery worries......yeeaahhhh !
