  • Cuba 53 - Capitolio

The Capitol building is under restoration and has been for some time so we were unable to visit the inside. Completed in 1929 it was the seat of government until the revolution in 1959 and reportedly will be again once the restoration is complete.

    Fenced in at sunrise.

    Blocking the sun.

    Over the fence.

Visible from around the square it was the tallest building until the 60s.

From the back by the train yard.

    Stuff from Cuba
    More stuff from Cuba
    It all started here

imposing architecture with a fine style. It's nice to see they are restoring at least one important building!
