  • Cuba 48 - Jalisco Park

Wandered across this "Fun Fair" in what looked to be in someones back yard in the Vedado. I had noticed what I thought was someone welding a fence earlier in the day, but it turned out to be running repairs to the roller coaster track!

There did not seem to be anyone selling tickets.

    Round and round.

The guy with the Nikon was eyeing me very strangely. He was offering prints of your kids PP'd into film scenes!

    Not everyone had a camera!

    The main attraction.

    Scream!

Keep your arms in the car!

That roller coaster looks a bit, er, iffy! But I bet the kids have just as much fun on it as on our sophisticated modern ones. I like the old-fashioned ride for the kids (#3); there used to be one smaller, but similar, just outside Coventry market. It was hand-cranked. (I don't know if this one was?) Interesting bit of Cuban life, and good shots too!

And the caricaturas....what CAN I say?

The "safety" philosophy is probably: "it went round ok yesterday, so it must be ok!"
