  • Cuba 47 - Earning a crust.

By far the largest employer in the country is the government which employs about half of Cuba.

Not all of them work for the government!

Street entertainers are also popular with tourists. This is Pillo Chocolate exploiting a couple of dogs.

There is begging, but it is generally very good natured. This woman outside the Cathedral was very smiley all of the time, I suspect she made good money in Cuban terms, so I gave her an A.

These guys at a back street spray "booth" were on a high!

The government water pipe installers were progressing slowly!

Like the spraying business. Used to see them like that here - until cellulose paint / synthetic enamel was banned. And the beggar lady; she has her boots on the wrong feet!

But the two dogs - that looks very like rather cruel. I suppose typical of such societies; you see animals treated badly in places like Turkey, TRNC, Malta, still. Birds in cages far too small, etc.

One helluva big pothole those navvies are filling!

The thing I find most attractive about the whole series is the vibrant colours. The blue that they've been spraying is such a good shade!
