The crop I think was just weeds of some sort as he was just ploughing them in. Funnily enough though there were tiny hummingbirds all amongst them. Being underfed in Cuba is a national pass time and I imagine farmers burn more calories than most. There are plenty of fat people too and Cubans seem to have a sweet tooth. Is the other crop poppies? I must say both the farmer and the oxen (water buffalo?) look rather underfed.

Can't wait to shake off the shackles and get mobile again... This whole series of photo's has been an armchair holiday of a lifetime.
It's quite an eye opener when I think to what we complain about. Cuba, really is a case of make do and mend.
