  • Cuba 34 - Propped up

When you first arrive in Havana you don't see everything that is in front of you. It's only when you become accustomed to your surroundings that you start to see more. When I looked in this Bodega (ration depot) and in the workshop the bits of wood were just that, then you realise what they are there for!

Stop your neighbours dropping in unannounced!

    Note the Cuban extension lead!

    Complex geometries, not a problem.

    Keep of the balcony.

Look out below. I did witness lumps of masonry dropping into the street. On one occasion missing a woman by inches.

    Stuff from Cuba
    More stuff from Cuba
    It all started here

The more I see the more I like the sheer ingenuity of the Cubans. I also like your insights into the whys and wherefores of this place.

    Thanks again, Andrew.

Well, I've heard of skyhooks, but....... you must have been incredibly brave to stand under those buildings taking your photographs!
