This guy was delving through a pretty disgusting dumpster to get a few ali cans out. I shoved the camera across the bin and pressed the shutter. I gave him a couple of CUC, but I wished I hadn't as he shook my hand with his slimey dumpster grip! Thank god for wet wipes and alcohol gel, I must keep the E-M1 clean....
Even to the blast tape on the windows! I really don't think I'd want to go there for a holiday, either... As for shaking hands with him - yuk!
I've been through some bad parts in Detroit, these are a bit reminiscent of them. They used to sell tee-shirts there that carried the legend "I'm so bad I vacation in Detroit." BT, I think you need one, with Havana substituted!
I'm sure it was an unpleasant experience but sometimes you have to suffer for your art and the shot was well worth it!

"A hundredth of a second here, a hundredth of a second there even if you put them end to end, they still only add up to one, two, perhaps three seconds, snatched from eternity." ~ Robert Doisneau
