  • Cuba 6

It was not always possible to tell if properties were inhabited or not. Looking at the photos later you would then see a baby buggy or items of washing hanging out in places that looked uninhabitable. Various other photos looking into high ceilinged workshops etc revealed multiple props holding the floors above up! There have been no "wars" in Havana since 18 something or other so any missing buildings are the result of decay and collapse....

I think you could safely describe it as a slum... But I suppose if you don't have money, you don't have much choice. I bet Mr Castro doesn't live somewhere like that - too good a Communist!

Very interesting shots of the place. You must be REALLY spoiled for choice with a camera there!

Probably one of the only places left with so many colonial style buildings. I would love to visit.

Loved Cuba. Went last year after wanting to go for years. A bit restrictive if you want to use your phone/email/book anything that isn't government run.

I won't post any pics as they weren't taken on an Olympus on that trip...!
