The RAAF has Landed

Two unusual jets flew low over my roof, I figured they were politicians on the campaign trail.
I grabbed my kit and headed for the airfield, 10 minutes drive, just in time to see pollies heading to town in a bus.
Passengers from the second jet parked to the rear of the first were off loading. Apparently they were the media corps.

AIRLINE: Royal Australian Air Force - Bombardier Challenger 604

I was the sole spectator and stood out like the proverbial - Hey, get a load of that wanker with a Canon!

Even Cwanka looks embarrassed to have the big white lense!
The stewardess must have been fed up with their BS as she still has her ear defenders on.

Re: The RAAF has Landed

"Flight attendant" is politically correct; the other is "sexist" … mind you, anything a male says is inherently so!
But your observation on the ear muffs is probably correct, unless she's required to wear them permanently so as not to overhear any State secrets …

A thought: Do you think it would improve my photography if I pushed up the sleeves of my long sleeved windcheater?

No, but I don't see any branded camera straps! Just saying.

Re: The RAAF has Landed

Who needs a branded camera strap with an L lens?

Re: The RAAF has Landed

I hear from my brother who lives in Oz that the 'Conservative Liberals' squeezed in again by one or two seats.

How has this been received?

Great shots BTW.

Re: The RAAF has Landed

Actually I was wondering whether the Trolley Dolly might have been fed up with Cwanka's chat up lines.

Depends who you talk to, but safe to say that just over half the population are ecstatic, and just under half aren't …

Hadn't thought of that, Nige', come to think of it, is he sending a message with that big dangling lens … albeit facing the reporter and away from the dolly - oh well,

I don't quite get why anyone would need a lens that big to photograph pollies at point blank range? Unless he is showing off of course.

To flatter the subject into thinking that a big camera is required to photgraph such an important person.
