Macro, flash and stacking...
I can use the flash...
I can use the macro lens... I can use in camera and bracketed stacking... Can I get the flash to work with the stacking? Nope! Anyone got any suggestions as to what I might have missed? E-M1ii 60mm f2.8 macro ST-F8 |

Re: Macro, flash and stacking...
I've re-tried and set the camera up again for bracketing rather than stacking, so now the flash fires for the first image but not for any subsequent images...
Somethings set wrong somewhere - and the instructions aren't much help! |

Re: Macro, flash and stacking...
I have read somewhere that there is a frequency of firing setting so that the shutter waits until the flash has had a chance to recharge and then fires.

Re: Macro, flash and stacking...
This article suggests a max shutter speed of 1/20s in bracketing, but not tried it myself.

Re: Macro, flash and stacking...
Getting there!
After contacting David Smith from Olympus, the flash needs to be in manual on the camera and manual on the flash control, i.e. set to a flash value on the flash control dials... Bracketing with flash works OK but I've not managed to get the in-camera stacking with flash to work yet... |
