Re: MitaKon 85mm 5x Super-Macro.

$100 more than the Laowa and nearly twice the weight. The working distance at x5 is twice that of the Laowa but its tip diameter is nearly 50% wider.

I find that the depth perspective of the 25mm...

Re: MitaKon 85mm 5x Super-Macro.

My Laowa, at "x5", has FOV 3.5mm wide on m4/3. In terms of 35mm FF that is x10.

On my (wide) screen each hosted image is about 300mm wide.

Which of the above is relevant? To me it is the FOV....

Hyaloscypha leuconica A Tiny Ascomycete Fungus

I am fairly sure of the genus, less so of the species, but I may get confirmation from an expert soon. This was on a piece of rotten wood in a dense...

Slime Mould: Diderma hemisphericum: Studio Shots

The main difference from the location shots is that the flash guns stayed where I put them.

Olympus EM-1 (manual mode), Laowa 25mm f2.8 2.5x-5x ultra-macro at x2.5 and at f11, twin TTL flash...

Slime Mould: Diderma hemisphericum: Location Shots

Two days ago I was privileged to visit the site of a lime quarry not used for about 100 years and conserved for its 'natural' habitat.

We were about to have lunch before returning to our cars,...

Cobalt Crust Terana caerulea

I have seen many thousands of crust fungus colonies over many years but this is the first time I have seen this blue one. It can be a deeper shade of blue.

Re: Boris Gate

I was unaware of such a correlation. I am in my 70s and couldn't care less about sport, and am not obsessed by WW2, but I detest the lack of sovereignty of our parliament and our courts. Nothing to...

Panelllus stypticus The Bitter Oysterling

I photographed this yesterday in a local woodland. It was on the stump of a deciduous tree.

Mark,

I'm fairly sure it's a Ganoderma, one of the fungi showing promise as anti-cancer.

Re: Communal flowers, trees, plants and fungi thread

Re: L-Bracket for the OM-D E-M1 MKII

There is a need for caution in storing this.

The bracket has two flash shoe positions, one horizontal on the top and one at 45 degrees, above the handle. Each of these grips the flash foot in...
