    Re: Autumn colours

Another difficult call Mark. Like you I'd prefer a weekday as places will be quieter. Those of us still working though might not have that luxury. The other consideration is also when the half term holiday is. I've no idea these days but also well worth avoiding.

        Re: Autumn colours

Although I’d have to take a day’s leave, I think that a weekday would be far nicer, as long as you avoid half term. So the week before Ian suggested? 23-25th or so?

I'm a bit surprised that a weekday looks more popular! I'm now wondering if we can do a Friday for those who prefer the weekday and then Saturday who can't do a weekday? I'd just need a B&B for the North venue

            Re: Autumn colours

For us retired fellows, a week day makes as much sense as any. But understand that you poor fellows who still work prefer a week-end. I have a wifey who might not understand me wanting to be away from her at the week-end. Mind, she might come along with her little Canon thingy if I serve up enough G+T's, ...………..

How will meet members recognise each other? Is there a code of appearance/dress? Perhaps the wink of an eye? Any thoughts?

Ah kind sir Next month I have to return to Nairobi for 2 weeks, then it’s back to London and a move to Bristol. I hope I am able to make it to the meet, which I imagine will be relaxing and fun.

I've got a bit lost on this

Are we settling on Westonbirt and Friday the 26th for the South ?

I can take a day off and could offer a lift to anyone coming from the West of Cardiff (share car from this point to save you a longer drive), or possibly to meet someone East of here on the way

                          Regards

I'm OK for the 26th October if that's the preferred date.
