A nice clean and smart job Ian. I will have to wipe my feet before I come here now.

Thank you, Ian, for all your hard work. The new look is refreshing and I'm sure I will get used to the new locations of various items soon. One thing I already miss from the old forum, though, is the "Thanks" button, which I would definitely have clicked for your post at the top of this thread!

    Cheers,

Thanks John 😊 The Thanks button was not standard and the code for that no longer works on the latest version of the forum software but I'm looking at alternatives.

Well Done. Alas can't post an image from my hard drive so I shall not bother..It is the 21st century after all.urls are out of date now on majority of sites.

Looking good Ian & appreciate you can't rest yet while you're doing tweaks & additions etc. I won't be doing much at the moment as I'm a bit pre-occupied checking the "Fires Near Us" page & also as we prepare for a daughter's wedding next week. We're just praying for rain as that will alleviate some of the stress (for all those near fires etc, not to mention those whom have already lost homes etc).

Thanks Ian. I should add, we've had two other daughters marry already with two of the grandchildren (3 & 6) taking part in the bridal procession. The stress doesn't get less though.

I'm liking it so far, but just an observation Ian, I have no wish to tread on anybodies toes.

There is a ''strip' at the top of the entries containing......
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Post Reply Search Page X of X < > Filter

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This 'strip' moves down with the page when I scroll down....but....when I scroll up the strip sticks at the top of the page and the entries disappear underneath it. Were this 'strip' to continue up and off screen attached to the entries it would give increased height for posted photographs, the 'strip' is not insignificant.

Apologies if I've missed something and there is a way of selecting this.

Yes, I have been in touch with the hosting company and looking at this problem with excessive server load.

The forum uses new page addresses (using the text from the thread titles so the site is being re-indexed by the various search engine sites. This can cause loads.

If you see on-screen corruption, best do CTRL-refresh (F5 usually).

      Sorry for this inconvenience.

I was just thinking Ian, that when checking Recent Threads that it gives the last time there was the Last Post on a thread, but no indication who that was. I know Four Thirds User is the same, but I never really stopped to think about it before, until now.

          Just a daft question...

On the old forum it was possible to get a list of unread posts, or todays posts... I haven't found an equivalent yet - is there one?

I was just about to post the same query, Paul. I'm glad it's not just me!

According to the Help resources there's supposed to be a New Posts option somewhere, but I can't find it either!
This was probably my most-used way to read the forum, and it must be possible to do it somehow...

I can't see any New Topics tab, Do you mean the Recent Threads section or the Foto Fair section on the RHS of the home page?
