Great place to get away fom the hustle and bustle. I feel you have captured the essence of the place.

I have a few shots of Birdsville. I'll post them next. I was there the week after the Birdsville Races, when the population goes up by a factor of about 10. It is wall-to-wall 4x4 and SUV together with a lot of off-road caravans.

Birdsville which appears to be the main town for Betoota, sounds an exciting place with 4 flights a week. I can almost get envious of the isolation compared to life in Hampshire

I guess that the truck was overloaded by adding a crate of sherry for the ladies!

Actually, I take that back. It looks like salt bush (if I'm correct) which probably could take off on fire if started.

Glad to hear you & your place are OK.

What an impressive series, Larry. Not easy to shoot such successful images of bugger all, as it were! I like you compositions throughout. You have captured the essence of outback Australia.

    Thanks Larry...………..

On purpose I guess. Sounds like a true Aussie...…...You can't beat that....

I see there is a racetrack there, with some modernish buildings...

The town taxi looks a bit rough!

I hear that you've got a severe drought there, with rivers drying up.
