  • 'Summer Beauty' Flower & bud.

    1. This morning's view of the Corymbia (formerly Eucalyptus) Ficifolia, 'Summer Beauty', Pink Flowering Gum.

    2. A closer look at the opportunistic crab spider that has taken up residence under the cap (with the 60mm macro lens).

    3. Another bud that has almost fully opened.

    4. And a remaining water droplet on one of the leaves.

All taken with E-M1 & ZD12-60mm SWD lens except #2 with the M.ZD60mm macro lens.

EDIT: This little (young) 1 metre high tree (not tree proportions yet) is the owners of these flower & buds. Notice the large gum nuts from last year.

    (E-M1 & EC14 + 50-200 SWD lens)

A remarkable flower to us on the other side of the world. That is a tiny spider. Lyn will be pleased
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

That was a small spider & I won't tell Lyn if you don't.

Anyhow, just because I can, here are some more photos today (again, with what the morning reveals).

This is the same open flower from above & is now fully open with ants exploring it.

And I thought I'd better add some idea of scale to these photos.

The first three were with E-M5 (& flash) with 60mm macro lens & the remainder E-M1 with 12-60 SWD lens.
