    Denia & Valencia, Spain

    Having just joined the forum, I thought I should post some pics! These are from a visit to my uncle in Denia, Spain a couple of weeks ago. Most were shot with the E-M1 and 12-40mm f2.8, the rest with some faster primes. I'm new to the micro 4/3 system, having spent many years with Pentax. It's taking me a while to get used to the E-M1, but I'm beginning to get results I like.

    Great set Matt and difficult to choose a favourite, but the bell tower does stand out. It looks like you have really got to grips with your new kit.

      Welcome to the forum Matt, you have some stunning images there as well as it being a good "Location" series.

      If I had to pick three "Winners" it would be 5, 12 & 14 but I couldn't select a favourite from between those

          Some fantastic shots there - Liking number 2, but some of the architectural shots are fab, second from last is right up my street. what is the building that looks a bit like a fish ?

            Thanks all! The fishy building is part of the Valencia Arts & Science complex [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_Arts_and_Sciences"]City of Arts and Sciences - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

            It has been surrounded by controversy, with cost overruns during the building and later with rapid deterioration of the facade. That said I found it a fascinating place and I very much like the modern design.

              I have seen some stunning images of the Valencia Arts & Science complex when that pool is still as the reflections are amazing. You did not have the best light or waether.

                Your off and running with these Matt, a stunning set.
                All very impressive but I'm particularly drawn to 1, 4, 5, 6, 12 and 16.

                      Thanks, I appreciate getting constructive feedback. Better light is always a winner and I agree the last picture in particular would work better with a good reflection. Unfortunately (or fortunately for my wife) this wasn't primarily a photography trip. So I just had to grab my shots as I came across them. Still may be next time

                        I don't think this set really does Valencia justice. We only had a day there (the rest of the time being in Denia). There's so much more to see! Enjoy your trip!

                            A fantastic collection of images. They're all excellent and I would have been very pleased to have captured anyone of them, just one would do never mind 19! Denia 120046 has a wonderful sense of light and dark, warmth and coolness.
