  • Sunny Sunday at Mildura

    1. Last Sunday our timely arrival at Mildura in far northeast Victoria enabled us to enjoy ...

    2. the 100th Anniversary Celebrations of the PS Melbourne, Australia's most famous steam driven Paddle Steamer.

    3. The event was held on the Murray beneath a cloudless blue sky and perfect spring weather.

    4. A whole flotilla of other Paddle Streamers were there to wish the PS Melbourne a Happy Birthday and indeed it was.

    5. Thousands of spectators lined the banks and togers galore. It was quite surprising to see so many Olys among the Canikons.

    6. I was also delighted to get an SMS from Ross (the Fiddler) to say that Chevvy had enquired as to my whereabouts,

    7. and rather surprised that he thought he had seen me among the crowd on TV. I had noticed a pro videographer close to me on the pier.

Lovely sunny shots and looks like an interesting event. I think our Australian friends have talked about Mildura but until now I hadn't seen any pictures of it.

Ah yes. That is a lovely set Mark & the E520 (& E-PL3) performed very nicely.

I was looking out for a particular clown in a blue cap & it appears there were several.

Thank you Chevvy. It was indeed a trip we shall long remember and will certainly be revisiting Mungo to camp a few days.

Funny thing was, Amanda that we were well on our way to Mildura and Mungo NP before a phone call from my daughter let me know of the event.

Ha, ha Ross, that clown juggled all three of his cameras, aided and abetted at times by his sidekick Sandy ! Whatever would we do without Kuso.
