Well, not so much beasties, although very annoying little pests if you grow roses.
Nothing to photograph on my morning walk around the garden except these. I did think the rose bud was a lovely shape however.


And because I haven't posted a rose for a while and am suffering withdrawal symptoms.

Very nice Lyn. You've caught some nice detail of those aphids with that lens. I'm starting to realise the usefulness of that lens instead of carrying around my big heavy beast of a Sigma lens. When my flash (FL50R) didn't have any recharged batteries to use, I wanted to get a macro shot with the 35mm macro lens, so I used the pop up flash with an envelope (white) held out the front to reflect the light down & it worked quite well. I also took some flower shots (a little further back) with a tissue hanging in front of the flash which gave a nice spread of light. It's a great lens to have in the kit for these kind of shots.

I just love this lens. As you say, it is so easy to carry with you and I love using it to get close up and personal!
It quite often gives me little bonuses like the two bugs on the bottom of the bud which I didn't see with the naked eye, but were there when I downloaded.
Good tip about the envelope.

Whenever I feel a little discouraged with my photography I fall back on my rose shots. Even if they aren't that good they brighten me up!
