  • The Conductor!

This morning's walk around the local wetlands didn't offer many shots - but do you think this fellow was getting ready to conduct Handel's Water Music?

Nice capture - and very amusing. I'm wondering if it would be better facing the camera, but actually I'm not sure!

Had to be this way Ian - the usual view audiences get of the conductor.

Have you got weather fit for a duck?

Thanks Chevvy - I was lucky with this one. Nothing much was on show and I was just about to give it away when this duck decided to put on his show!
When all else fails - find a duck to photograph!
Hope your weather improves - we have had our shortest day now, so roll on Spring and the Roses! Which reminds me - I have to get out and prune today!

Thanks Huw - nowhere near your great standard of photos, but worth a smile I thought!

Nonsense ... it had to be Tchaikovsy's Swan Lake.

Lyn, Banana skins ! Save them from everyone and place them on the ground around your roses, water over them. why? I saw some around some spectacular roses in a garden I photographed! the owners said it more than doubles the blooms what? I did it last year and YES double the blooms for sure! (as we have 6+ children x 3days a week, and they have one a day for Potassium it was easy!

Hi Chevvy - Yes, you are right on the money with this one! I know about the banana skins - but you have to put a lot on to get the potassium - no trouble for you I see, but the two of us would be going some! I do put our skins out in the name of being "green" but doubt if they do much good in our case!
I have started pruning the climbers - got one done today - only 12 more to go and 100 odd bushes! Crikey - it gets harder every year!

Lyn, the Peeps who told me about it, are just a mature couple household! So any amount will help the Roses !
Heck 100 + Roses to prune, that like Mottisfont Abbey ! I only have 3 Roses !
