It's all very well for them. They have WARMTH! I prefer Ena's Milk Stout served as warm as nature intended. Which reminds me - I'd better put a bottle in front of the fire ready for tonight's pre-wine (Australian, of course) tipple.

That's so you can't taste how "blxxdy bland" it is.

Can't wait for a nice flat warm pint of bitter tonight.

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

Fullers ESB from the pub built into the brewery.

Wadworths 6X served from a barrel behind the bar in a pub in Wiltshire.

It has to be cold in order to numb the taste buds against the vile taste!

I agree with that, although when I was in Boston, New England many years ago, the local draught beer was Samuel Adams, and it was quite good.

Samuel Adams is still going strong. They make some interesting beers but they're not readily available around here, we just get the TV ads from the States. The small independent breweries around here make the usual fizzy p1ss the big brewers make.

The Great Britain Beer Festival, in London, all the Presidents of the brewerys decide to go to the pub for a drink. The coors President said "Can I have the only beer made with Rocky Mountain Spring Water: a Coors, please."
The bartender gave him the drink.

Then the Budweiser President orders, "The King Of Beers -- Budweiser."
The bartender proceeds with the order.

The Amstel President walks in and orders "The Finest Beer ever."
The bartender gives him an Amstel.

Then the Adnams President says, "I'll have a coke please."
The bartender is taken aback by this but gives the coke to him anyway.

All the Presidents looked over at him and said, "Why have you ordered a coke?"
He replied, "Well if you all aren't drinking beer, then neither shall I."

Theakston's Old Peculiar for me although I occassionally have a Newcastle Brown. I was lucky enough to come across some Sam Smith's Old Brewery Bitter last time I was in the 'States to avoid the local beer although I did have to settle for bottled (much better from the barrel). All warm and flat of course.
