Re: Dogged by bad luck !
Sorry to see that, Mark, it's just wanton, senseless vandalism. I'm not sure if I find it reassuring or disturbing to find out that it happens the world over and not just here in Britain.

John and Brian, unfortunately the windshield below the wiper is scored and the scratches on bonnet are too deep to polish out.Originally posted by brianvickers View PostYeah...sorry to hear that....I hope its just scratches that polish out.
The cops photographed the objects placed on the car and took them away as evidence.
I suppose such acts perversely empower the perpetrators in a sick kind of way.

Those scratches are really nasty. I don't know what the mindless idiots can possibly get out of it.Originally posted by pandora View Post

The way I figure it John is that whoever is responsible has typically low self esteem with low or no ability to create positive effects.Originally posted by Zuiko View PostThose scratches are really nasty. I don't know what the mindless idiots can possibly get out of it.
In that situation the person creates negative effects for a sense of empowerment over their environment, for isn't the whole purpose of living to create an effect ?

Hi Mark,
I hope they catch them. I also hope your justice system will deal with them if they do. It's such a mindless thing to do.

In the absence of witnesses or fingeprints it's unlikely the police will find out who did it.Originally posted by Stewart G View PostJesus, that's awful! Makes me think of revenge and worse. I guess that's the intent of such an act, to enrage. Their karma will catch up with them eventually, but that won't help your car. Goons!
One's first reaction is a strong desire for revenge on whoever did it, an eye for an eye, tit for tat and all that.
In the absence of proof one gets to speculate on 'persons of interest' but without it one must rely upon bad Karma to catch up with them.
Personally mandatory castration to ensure that they breed no more like them would be more effective !

That's terrible. Just goes to show there's "Hoons" the world over. Must say we saw less of such behaviour over your way than over here, though more grafitti.Stephen

Mark, that is awful, very sorry to hear about this
It's shocking to see how a minority of individuals see fit to vandalize other's property (we've had similar experiences in the past).
In many cases of course they don't get caught immediately but I too believe in what comes around goes around, here's hoping

Re: Dogged by bad luck !
Mark you have my deepest sympathy over this.
We've been the victims of this kind of behaviour and it is not nice.
Something I find quite bemusing is that in some prosperous countries ruled by what we
in the 'civilised' countries call dictators, people very rarely commit crimes, the streets are safe at night, pointless vandalism and graffiti are extremely rare and there is virtually no unemployment.
I am not saying that these countries are perfect, far from it but I do wonder sometimes.
Who has got it right.
The 'dictatorships' were a few do suffer but the majority lead safe prosperous lives or the 'free speech, expression and liberalism' societies?

Re: Dogged by bad luck !
I have just caught up with this Mark - I am SO sorry.
It is such an invasion into your life and your personal property.
These people obviously lead very sad little lives, and should be pitied, and it is so hard to understand why they do these things.

Mark, I am truly GUTTED for you
we currently have a "screwdriver" dent/crease in the drivers door - where someone tried to lever it open

Knowing that these Cretins are about, outside, attacking your property, makes a large (and hungry) dog worthwhile ...
Jon, the "save the Cute and Furrys" are not my club either - children today get soo much and take what they cannot get by earning it; else damage others property as in this instance, know the price of all things and the value of nothing
