OK, having realised what I was doing wrong hopefully now you should see a better image of said lenses.

Once again many thanks to Brendan ( delanyb ) for a super smooth transaction.

A quick snap shot taken with the 50mm F2 Macro "wide open" on the EM-5, have not had chance to try the 28 & 100 F2's yet but I'm certainly looking forward to doing so

I got the 1,2/55mm in its box and it's beautiful as a diamond ;-)
          Thanks for the transaction.

I did not know that a 100mm was for sale too! What luck you've had, Simon!

            Hi Shubee,

It wasn't, but I remembered Brendan buying it and as he is looking to buy the Leica "M" I thought I might just 'chance my arm' , glad I did, stunning lens and what a gentleman to deal with too.

            Regards

Re: Olympus OM cameras, lenses and more

              I wish I'd known a 100mm f/2 was potentially available, I've always wanted one even though I have the OM 90mm f/2 macro lens. I don't suppose you have a 250mm f/2 or 350mm f/2.8 hanging around, Brendan

              Cheers,

It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

As with Leica lenses it's now down to supply and demand David, at least here in the UK.

As I am sure you know the optically finest OM lenses have been in demand for some time now, especially sought after by Canon and Nikon users for a simple adapter mounts them onto an EOS and a relatively simple mount change ( Leitax ) converts them to Nikon.

You only have to look at the stock levels at all S/H UK dealers and rarely are any of the 'best' OM lenses seen these days. Therefore those who own them are bye-and-large holding onto them thus making such optics appear scarce and command a premium when they do appear.

The said 350mm F2.8 has been relisted by Luton Cameras two or three times, it was originally £3.5k , so it would seem as though they are 'pushing the limit' so to speak, then again if there is no rush to sell ..... well who knows. I am certain that if it had the name "Leica" on the barrel it would have sold within a week ! .... I guess that tells us something too

I had been tempted to buy it myself but I most likely wouldn't use it enough to warrant the expense and to be honest I think that from now on if I am going to spend that kind of money on a lens it will have to be a Leica as all my Leica lenses have "DOUBLED" in value in the past twelve months and should I ever need money quickly would almost certainly sell for my asking prices within a week.
