  • ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300mm 1:2.8

I am thinking of selling my 300mm lens. Having just got the EM-5, I am thinking of going the whole hog down the micro four thirds route.
Anyone interested? It is in very good nick, C/W filters and case.

        Some pics of the kit.

Has been well used and has a couple of cosmetic marks but lens works a treat. Included with lens is the lens hood camo cover and tripod plate.
And the Jobu Jr Gimbal head.

I have one and it's a stupendous piece of kit for anyone keen on wildlife. Not a bad price either.

Somebody should at that price - an amazing lens that works as a 425mm f4 with no practical drop-off in quality (with the EC-14).
BTW, a gimbal is a must for this lens...

That (when at full mag) is a 100% crop, shot wide-open with the EC-14 attached.

Re: ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 300mm 1:2.8

I bought mine from SRS two years ago and it had languished on their website for at least a couple of months, indicating that lenses at this price/quality do not sell quickly. Mine was cosmetically damaged and certainly not in such good nick as Sapper's but I paid rather less for it in consequence. I think 3k is a very good price for what is on offer and the purchaser won't regret the expenditure. I also have the 90-250 (ex Woofmix) and I know which one I shall keep if push were to come to shove.

In old money it's a 600mm f2.8 and there never was such a lens available to ordinary mortals. Put the EC14 on and you've got an 850mm f4. Can Canikon match that or indeed come anywhere near?

Certainly not! Lenses like this should not be allowed to gather dust!
