    Naughty boy!
Enjoy, the weather here is so miserable and grey and wet it's good to have indoor photography available.

I don't think they are weather sealed. I had one but sold it soon after due to the bulk.

Now I know where Britney Spears got the inspiration for her song from 🤣

I didn't know Sigma made m43 fit lenses. I might have been hiding under a rock.

I look forward to seeing some pics.

The 150 macro makes a great fixed length telephoto too. IQ is superb. There's a 105 macro too and some telephotos and general lenses. Sadly no longer shown on fourthirds.org but there's a list here https://www.neocamera.com/list_lense...sigma&mount=43

No, Sigma hasn't made the 150mm macro lens for M4/3's as it was for 4/3's DSLR so it requires the MMF-3 adapter to use it on M4/3's cameras.

Thanks Ross the fiddler. I remember Hdew used to sell those adaptors and at the time wondered if I should get one. I’ve seen some great results with an Oly 4/3 300mm f/2.8 lens that was adapted.

Sigma makes some nice lenses in MFT just bought a 56mm f1.4 prime a week or two ago, this ones a older four thirds lens but the 150mm with a 2x crop attracted me plus it has AF

How big and heavy is it Jeff? My son has a Sigma 180 macro for his Canon DSLR system and the lens is humungous and heavy.

Won’t be here for a day or two Mike , but I have had one previously for Nikon and it wasn’t to bad weight wise.. I also had the 180 in canon mount many years ago and as you say it was a beast

lens just arrived and checked out despite the fading light .. its working excellently across the range A/F is faster than expected on the OM1 .unfortunately no tripod foot probably why there were loads of watchers 40+ on e.bay as soon as it went on ..but I just phoned sigma and they found me one at a very good price indeed . might try it out later on my omd-1-mk1 if that works ok it can stay on there .will do some sample pics later in the week weather dependant

PS just had a quick play on the em1-mk1 and its working fine ,looks like a plan is coming together

If I recall correctly that's generally regarded as the best of the Sigma macro lenses. You did well to find one in 4/3 fit. I think Alf Branch uses one for his macro stuff. Often though about getting one myself but got a 60mm instead and tbh hardly ever use it these days. Maybe I'll have to do a bit more macro this winter.

Yep a lucky find spotted it while browsing the evil bay had 40+ watchers so made a snap buy .. and extremely lucky sigma found me a tripod mount .. with the weather as it is the lens may well save my sanity

Yes good reminder Henry, I've wanted to try to shoot some snowflakes for a while but never quite managed it. Definitely too wet here though at the moment.

Unfortunately no. You need that TC14 and TC 20. The MC14 you need a correct spacer and the AF is not superb. Also the exposure readings are wrong.

What about adding a raynox macro lens? Or maybe it wouldn't fit the outer diameter?

I saw this yesterday & reached for mine. Mmmmmm the bag was empty. Ah, found it in my draw with the TC20 attached. I took that off & so took some photos.

I'll post a thread with some garden photos I took & yes, it does actually focus faster on my OM-1. Now I'll have less of a chance in trying to convince my better half I need the 90mm Pro macro lens.

Not as yet used mine in proper anger ,got it on the omd1-mk1 at the moment though it’s no problem to put back on the om1 .. also weather here has been bucketing down all day and I’m waiting on the tripod ring from sigma u.k to arrive .. so far just taken standard test shots of pen ends and a drill bit trying various apetures and d.o.f testing .. .. had various macros before all MF bar the 60mm which I couldn’t get on with ..hoping this one’s a keeper

Yeah, it not being weather sealed means it has to be treated with respect. I wish we had some more rain. It will be 41 degrees here tomorrow (might get a little rain at the end of the day).
