  • My Olympus website problems

I want to register my new lens and have been trying to access the My Olympus website https://my.olympus-consumer.com/ for a couple of days now but just get the message 'Service is temporary unavailable. We are working to improve MyOLYMPUS Community to offer you better experience. Please come back in a few hours to enjoy it!' is anyone else having problems or is it my end?
    Regards
    Brian

      Re: My Olympus website problems

I get the same when trying to access the MyOlympus website.

It may be worth contacting them by email and advising them of the problem, I had to do this previously as I was unable to request a repair via the website, Olympus support replied to my email very quickly.

The email address is: [email protected]

Even when the website was up I found I could not request a repair. You could get some way in and then not complete the process as the submit button gave an errror.

            Re: My Olympus website problems

I took DavyG advice and contacted Olympus and here was the response:

            Good morning Mr. M
Thank you for your e-mail regarding the MyOlympus site, I am sorry to hear of your problems with it. May I please advise that we were rebuilding the site so as to provide even more features than before. I do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. MyOlympus is back up and running now, so please log in and register your new PRO lens. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.
            Kind regards,

            Pete Huggan

Unfortunately, it is still not 'up & running' and so I contacted them again and got this response:

Thank you for your reply. I have asked the MyOlympus team to investigate. They could very well still be testing the system so as to iron out any bugs, so for the time being the site may be problematic.

Obviously the bugs are more resistant than they thought!
            Regards
            Brian

Which account are you trying to log into? I think Symantec is connected with Norton antivirus software etc. If you are using Norton try disabling it and then log into whatever account you are trying to log in.
