Re: ACDSee Pro 4 beta now available

I have to admit I have been a long time user of ACDsee (currantly ACDSee Pro3) and it has always been my prefered software for image managment.

But the raw conversion side of it has never been top notch and I just do not use it for that as it was never very good and prefere to use other raw programs.

Saying that they have made some really remarkable improvements to the raw side of it, but still have to make some headway on noise and sharpness handling before it would suit my using it for raw conversion.

As a example this is a ISO 200 image at 100%, the object was to get the same amount of sharpness with minimum noise in both images.

Image on the left is Silkypix pro my favourite raw program but not the best at really high ISO and on the right ACDSee Pro 4.

In my opinion Pro4 still as a long way to go before it will become my raw program of choice, although it may be fine for some not as critical as me.

Saying that I will proberly upgrade just for the new improvements in image management and that incorporation of the google map enabling you to geo tag your images.
    Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.
