That is the impression i get that the lens will be perfect as an all round travel lens. Just have to start saving the pennies!

I confess I missed the 12mm end for wide angle shots and have replaced it with a 12-200 lens. Again this is not pin sharp at the tele end, but I find it adequate for holiday shots. (When I'm after the best possible quality for birding then I just have to bite the bullet and use my 40-150 & 300 PRO lenses with a monopod.)

The 14-150mm is not quite in the budget category that the 40-150mm and 45mm occupy. I have a "lightweight" kit for occassional use and I was thinking of replacing (or adding to) my 40-150mm with the 14-150mm, but the cost (new) is just over half of the 12-200mm so I am going to hoard my pennies and keep swapping lenses for now. Of course if you can find a second hand 14-150mm at a price that suits then go for it.

i did read a review regarding it being alittle soft at the wide end, and it would have been holiday photos, landscape and architecture and family photos.

i did look at the 12-200 but i wouldnt be able to justify the cost, having said that i do have some items i no longer use which i could sell to partially fund the 12-200mm

The output is not as sharp as the PRO lens, but it's not a million miles away either.

I was hoping to try the recently released 12-200 at Brands Hatch but they didn't have one with them, that is anther alternate that gives a little more reach...

but then again i may just end up sticking with what i have

    thank you both

    Olympus 14-150 mm II f/5.6

    Hello All

I wonder if i could have your thoughts and opinions on the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150 mm II 1:4.0-5.6.

I appriciate this isnt a Pro lens, but i am on a very tight budget, and want a walk about lens which will cover both ends without the need to change lens.

I do own the 12-40 f/2.8 Pro and 40-150 mm f/5.6 R, but i am wondering if i will miss not having 12 at one end.
Working...
