  • My E-520 Going Into Retirement

My E-520 is going into retirement. It is still a very good camera, and it has made me a fan of Olympus gear. However, since I needed a backup to my Pentax K-5 and wanted a camera with more dynamic range for at work, I was in need of an upgrade.

Unfortunately, Olympus' old DSLR and new m4/3 offerings either weren't an appreciable improvement over my 520 and/or cost too much right now to get an Olympus upgrade.

After much deliberation between Penatx and Sony offerings, (I shoot Sony too with my old Minolta glass.), I settled on another K-5.

The 520 will be lovingly placed in the collection, as I don't intend to ever sell it as it has earned my fondness. I do hope someday to own an OM-D E-M1.

I will still be a member here, and will still get in on the discussions from time to time, just not as often.

    Cheers!
    Cameras currently used: Pentax K-5 Mk.I, Olympus OM-D E-M1, Sony A77 Mk.I, Minolta Maxxum 600si, Nikon P7100
