  • HELP! Remote shutter release not working

    Hi all

The remote shutter release on my E420 has stopped working and when using the delayed release function, the red LED no longer blinks.

Is there a setting that may be causing this or is it a fault

    Regards

    Woody

No - tried replacing the battery in the remote.

Check the super control panel and/or menu to ensure it is enabled, not simply set on single frame only.

I assume you are using the direct "Remote control/Self-timer/Sequential shooting button" or in the Super Control Panel with the dial to select the appropriate remote setting & if anti-shock is activated, should add to the selection (doubling the available options) with a diamond symbol. Pages 55 to 57 in your manual covers this (& the PDF download version is worth having too).
