  • HELP! E3 JPeg size

Good morning all, Its been quite a while since I was on line but I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. Being an E1 user since its launch I have taken the plunge and finally upgraded to an E3, first impressions, fantastic should have done it ages ago. Now my question is how do I set my Jpeg file to Large Super Fine, I get as far as Large Fine but do not know how to get LSF, I have only had the camera a couple of days so if there is anyone out there who can help I would be most grateful, regards to all, Ian Wheatley.

    Re: E3 JPeg size

    Hi

Go to spanner 1,spanner G and then set.You can the change the Jpeg size here.Never quite worked out why this was not the default.

Dont use it myself as I always shoot Raw.

Enjoy the E3 I came the same route as you from an E1.Can be a bit quirky at first but one youv'e got the hang of it it's a great camera.
    All the best

I don't have my E-3 to hand as I write this, but what you need to look for in the menus is 'SF' for Super Fine compression (1:2.7).

Hi Andy, thanks for the prompt reply, being a leftie myself I see what you mean, its so simple when someone points you in the right direction, there is a lot to get to grips with compared to the E1 and the instruction book is not the best, all the best, Ian.

When I read your post I went into my E-3 menu to check, and the only options that I had were RAW (which I always use) and all the rest were SF only. I did a factory reset and now have everything except SF.
            Can anyone figure this out?
